چکیده
We affirmatively settle the question on existence of a real-valued higher order spectral shift function for pair self-adjoint operators $H$ and $V$ such that is bounded $V(H-iI)^{-1}$ belongs to Schatten–von Neumann ideal $\mathcal{S}^n$ compact in separable Hilbert space. also show satisfies same trace formula as known case $V\in\mathcal{S}^n$ it unique up polynomial summand $n-1$. Our result significantly advances earlier partial results where counterparts noncompact perturbations lacked real-valuedness aforementioned uniqueness well appeared more complicated formulas much restrictive sets functions. applies models arising noncommutative geometry mathematical physics.

Necessary Conditions for Schatten Class Localization Operators
We study time-frequency localization operators of the form A12 a , where a is the symbol of the operator and φ1, φ2 are the analysis and synthesis windows, respectively. It is shown in [3] that a sufficient condition for A12 a ∈ Sp(L(R)), the Schatten class of order p, is that a belongs to the modulation space Mp,∞(R2d) and the window functions to the modulation space M1. Here we prove a partia...
متن کاملRepresentation for the spectral shift function for perturbations of a definite sign
Let H, H0 be a pair of selfadjoint operators whose difference V = H − H0 is trace-class and has a definite sign. In this case a new (integral) representation for the Krĕın spectral shift function of the pair H, H0 in terms of the spectral characteristics of the boundary values of the operator |V |(H0 − zI)−1|V |1/2 is obtained. This representation is extended to the case of perturbations V of a...
متن کاملThe Spectral Shift Function for Compactly Supported Perturbations of Schrödinger Operators on Large Bounded Domains
We study the asymptotic behavior as L → ∞ of the finitevolume spectral shift function for a positive, compactly-supported perturbation of a Schrödinger operator in d-dimensional Euclidean space, restricted to a cube of side length L with Dirichlet boundary conditions. The size of the support of the perturbation is fixed and independent of L. We prove that the finite-volume spectral shift functi...
متن کاملAllowable Spectral Perturbations for ZME-Matrices**
A ZME-matrix is a matrix A all of whose positive integer powers are Z-matrices, and whose odd powers are irreducible. We find a combinatorial partial order on the spectral idempotents of a ZME-matrix A which determines the allowable spectral perturbations B for which B is again a ZME-matrix. We apply this result to show that under certain restrictions, the product of two ZME-matrices is a ZME-m...
متن کاملSpectral Shift Function of the Schrödinger Operator in the Large Coupling Constant Limit, Ii. Positive Perturbations
For the operator −∆ in L2(Rd), d ≥ 1, a perturbation potential V (x) ≥ 0, and a coupling constant α > 0, the spectral shift function ξ(λ;−∆ + αV,−∆) is considered. Assuming that V (x) decays as |x|−l, l > d, for large x, we prove that the leading term of the asymptotics of the spectral shift function as α → ∞ has the form Cαd/l, where the coefficient C is explicitly computed. The asymptotics is...
